11:00-12:00 Clinic: Unlocking the Mysteries of Music Programming and Classification (David Allinder)
Most agree that programming is key to a successful performance, but annually, many directors feverishly search for the evasive “list tune” to round out their MPA program. In this clinic, we will examine the classification system used by the ABA and designations and discrepancies currently in use by a variety of music publishers. You will leave with a better understanding of components found at each grade level and be more able to confidently select literature to challenge and flatter your band at the same time!
We hope to see some of you at the beach!
