Dick Turner is originally from Jackson, Ohio. He graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s in Music Education. Dick played trumpet professionally in Huntington, West Virginia, and Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio.  He is a former band director at Greenview High School in Ohio. He worked as a School Service Representative in Ohio for 28 years before joining Art’s Music Shop in 2009.

Mr. Turner was Runner Up in the National Association of School Music Dealers Road Rep of the Year 2010. He is a 24-year member of the Central States Judges Association.  Mr. Turner judges and serves as a clinician throughout the country. He is a member of the CSJA Hall of Fame.
