Tony Whetstone graduated from Wetumpka High School where he played bassoon. Tony received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Troy State University in Music Education. He was the band director at Daleville High School and Dothan High School. He has been the chairman of the Alabama Bandmaster Association, a marching band and drum major adjudicator in Florida and Alabama and as a concert band sight-reading judge. He joined the staff at Troy State University Dothan in 1988 then organized and directed the TSUD Community Band for 20 years. Since 2001, Tony has served as a School Service Representative for Art’s Music Shop, Dothan, where he assists bands and students in Southeast Alabama, Southwest Georgia and Northwest Florida.
